Warmer weather is moving in and it’s time to dust off our gym shoes and head outside! This is the perfect season to pay attention to spring toy trends and add a few items to encourage creative play. Active Play

A new offering from NSI Toy, the Laser X Revolution Two Player Long Range Laser Tag Gaming Blaster Set, is one that will encourage everyone to get off the couch and into the action!
Laser X brings the laser tag arena into your own home or backyard. These long-range blasters work indoors and out, in daytime or night. With a blasting distance of over 500 feet, they are quite suitable for play on the farm, too!
My sons love the ability to choose their own team colors (there are over 20 colors to choose from) and the rapid fire mode that allows the action to move at a fast pace.
Designed for ages 6+, Laser X is perfect for teens and adults, too. Blaster beams travel through windows and can be strategically bounced off walls or mirrors to take your play to the next level. Games can include ulimited players making it a great activity for larger groups, too.
Athletics
Along with warmer weather, this season brings Spring training! From little ones to teenagers, kids begin to get in a sports frame-of-mind. Now is the time many teams begin pre or off-season training. This is a great time to encourage children to develop athletics skills and to establish healthy habits.

We’re always happy to see this category highlighted as STEM toys are true treasures. It’s one thing to have a great toy for your kids to play with, a complete bonus when that toy also enhances their STEM (Science, Engineering, and/or Math) skills.
Two fun new offerings from NSI Toy are the SpyBots Room Guardian and the SpyBots Roboear. Both focus on the core subject of Engineering and both offer cool features kids will love.
We had the opportunity to test out the SpyBots Roboear and thought it was quite fun. Roboear is an audio-surveillence robot which gives you the ability to hear up to a distance of 100 feet. Meaning, you can instantly hear when someone is approaching your room. Or better, yet, hear better when teams from your Lazer X game might be sneaking up on your hideout location!
Roboear is part of a larger collection of surveillance toy products designed for kids who are interested in cybernetic security robotics. They provide an awesome way to deter siblings from getting into your room or stuff but their equally handy for playing games like tag, Lazer X, and other indoor/outdoor activities.
SpyBots Room Guardian is a motion-activated security robot that helps keep your room secure. Kids can place it on their door and program with a secret code. Anyone who enters must know the code to enter. If the code is not entered, the Room Guardian goes into “Intruder Alert Mode” flashing lights and sounding the alarm. While participation in entering the code is voluntary, it still gives kids a sense of security. And can be equally helpful if you are hiding out, to know when others are accessing your base!
