How To Make Your Tired Old Bedroom Feel Brand New

If your bedroom is looking a little old and tired, then don’t just stand there, feeling sorry for yourself. Do something about it.

Because the bedroom is actually quite a simple room, it is relatively easy to change up. You don’t have to install any particularly expensive equipment or do complicated plumbing. Instead, most of the work is purely aesthetic.

Here’s what to do:

Put Down A Rug

If you haven’t done it yet, you’ll want to put down a rug.

Rugs are essential in practically all the rooms of your home, but particularly the bedroom. You want something that feels soft and delightful to walk on when you wake up in the morning. You don’t want to immediately put your bare feet onto a cold, hard floor.

Even if you’re low on space, you can put down a rug. Arrange it so that it slides under the bed and then extends slightly away from it in all directions – both to the left and right.

Add A Fuzzy Throw

When it comes to bedrooms, rugs are just the start of it. You can add even more coziness with a fuzzy throw. These should be smaller than the rug itself, but well-positioned so that they can keep your toes toasty in the morning.

Remove All The Junk From Your Table

Is your bedside table covered in junk? If so, remove it. More often than not, you don’t need everything to be out in the open.

To achieve this, get a bedside table that doubles as a cabinet. Put all your belongings inside, such as your reading glasses, ear plug, books, and phone charger.

Swap Out Your Old Furniture

If you’ve been using the same furniture in your bedroom for the last twenty years, it’ll feel a little stale. No matter the quality, eventually you’ll want something new.

People generally visit Tylko for the best chest of drawers. However, any modern design will suffice. You want furniture that lifts your bedroom and brings it into the 21st century. Designer pieces feel special and, in many cases, offer timeless appeal, allowing you to sell them again in the future.

Try New Styles Of Lighting

Thanks to LED technology, bedroom lighting has come along leaps and bounds in recent years. It’s opening up more possibilities – like nothing that’s come before.

You can make LED fairy light wreaths and place them above your bed, light your wardrobes with strip lights, or place LEDs in copper sculptures. It’s all possible.

Wash Your Sheets

Sometimes your bedroom starts to feel a little stale for somewhat ickier reasons: your stale sheets. If you don’t wash them for a couple of weeks, they’ll start emitting bad smells into their surroundings, leaving your room feeling stuffy and unhygienic.

Wash them as soon as you can and then feel the difference.

Dust Off Any Electronics

Lastly, if you keep electronics in your room, dust it off. Use one of those spray can dusters as these tend to be the most fun.
