Hot Toys for 2012: HearthSong Gift Card

When I need ideas for gift-giving, I’m also on the look-out for quality toys that inspire creative play.  That’s not always easy to find in one spot, though.  Many stores offer a hodge-podge of wonderful items, but it’s nice to be able to visit an online retailer like HearthSong, who is committed to recommending top-notch options.

Since its beginning in 1983, HearthSong strives to help parents follow their instincts to provide their children with age-appropriate, wholesome, quality playthings.  They guarantee that each item is carefully selected for its quality, safety, and relevance to your child’s development – and are steadfast in their commitment to provide you with “Toys You’ll Feel Good About Giving®.”

One toy that caught my eye this holiday was the Uncle Milton Star Theater 3-D Planetarium Projector.  We visited the Griffith Observatory earlier this year and my youngest son was fascinated to learn about our universe.  From that time, he’s been a real star gazer, so I knew that Star Theater would peak his interest in addition to helping him learn more about galaxy.

With the Star Theater, kids can input the time, date, and place, to project the sky onto the walls and ceiling, with every constellation, large star, and planet labeled. A very cool toy that HearthSong hand-selected to carry in its inventory and one I’m so happy I found!
