Last week we chatted about the experience of being on the set of WALK THE PRANK at Paramount Studios. Today, I’m sharing more information about the cast of this super fun DisneyXD show! For those just joining us now: WALK THE PRANK is an innovative new format that blends scripted comedy with real hidden-camera pranks in a series that follows a team of practical jokesters who create hilarious over-the-top pranks for an online hidden camera show.
The series showcases the natural comedic talent and improvisational skills of new young stars including Cody Veith (“Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn”), Bryce Gheisar (“A Dog’s Purpose”) , Jillian Shea Spaeder (“Theatre and Me’s the Bully”), Brandon Severs (“The Neighbors”), and Tobie Windham (“The Wesley’s”).
CODY VEITH “Chance” – Cody Veith stars as Chance, the fearless prankster who lives life to the fullest.
BRANDON SEVERS – “Dusty” – Brandon Severs stars as Dusty, Chance’s athletic best friend who lives for pulling off the perfect prank.
BRYCE GHEISAR – “Herman” – Bryce Gheisar stars as Herman, Chance’s little brother.
JILLIAN SHEA SPAEDER “Bailey” – Jillian Shea Spaeder stars as Bailey, the sassy and tech-savvy member of the group.
TOBIE WINDHAM “Uncle Will” – Tobie Windham stars as Will, Dusty’s uncle who owns a joke shop and helps guides the team of pranksters.
The scripted storylines center on the four kids’ antics in school and at home, which provide a source of inspiration for their pranks. The real and outlandish hidden-camera pranks, seen throughout each episode, capture genuine reactions from unsuspecting strangers.
Our group had the fun opportunity to interact with the cast between takes and they were a very lively, fun, energetic and enthusiastic bunch! You can tell all the actors/actresses enjoy what they do and have an awesome dynamic. Spending the amount of time they do filming can either strengthen or weaken a crew and they certainly have the strong family vibe going on! The cast not only seem to be good friends with each other, but they treated our Disney mom blogger group as if we were part of the family, too!
Bryce Gheiser assured us that we are going to like the show and the pranks. Codie Veith shared that he has a favorite prank coming up that involves meteors and aliens. Tobie Windham was commended by everyone for his robot moves in the premiere episode!
Windham shared that part of the success of the pranks is learning about the people involved ahead of time and what their interests and sometimes, phobias may be. For example, if someone is a afraid of spiders, they are going to have a “genuine reaction” to it. Windham also said working with the kids on the set is “amazing!” He said the kids are technical about their acting, yet spontaneous which adds a wonderful element to the show.
“We get the best of both worlds on the show combining the classical (script) with the new innovative theme,” said Windham.
For the pranks, Windham thinks about the situation ahead of filming and tries to think about everything that could potentially happen. He says nothing has ever gone wrong, but he wants to be prepared!
