When my daughter was little, my mother purchased a Berenstain Bears video for her to watch. She was mesmerized and just about wore that video out when visiting grandma’s.
Thankfully, my mother held on to that video and added more Berenstain Bears titles to her collection so that my sons could enjoy the cute antics and wholesome lessons these cuddly bears conveyed in their animated shows.
Now, I’m a grand mother and when I learned about the The Berenstain Bears Limited Edition Golden Gift Sets, I jumped at the chance to add them to our DVD collection for my grand daughter to enjoy.
To my surprise, though, when they arrived for review, my youngest son (10) begged to watch the movies and to have the Berenstain Bears Brother Bear Plush – suggesting he have that set and we gift the Sister Bear set to his niece. Apparently the good memories he has of watching the films as a young child stuck with him and he still has great affection for this country bear crew.

We sat down to watch the movies and really enjoyed the nostalgic experience. The cute antics still made us laugh and the traditional country values and timeless life lessons still left us with a good sense of having enjoyed a quality show.
Each film is set in the rolling hills of Bear Country, staring the fun-loving family of honey bears whose love, loyalty and humor allow them to overcome obstacles and wind up the better for it in the end. Overall, a very enjoyable DVD to watch, suitable for all ages, and great for some quality family fun!

We love the Berenstain Bears! Their stories and cartoons have always been a part of so many families. They certainly bring me back to when my boys were younger and I read their books to them.
My son would love this. We have an old Berenstein Bears book about “The Gimmes” that teaches not to throw tantrums. I feel like we read this book a million times. 😉
