Holiday Gifts for Cat Lovers

More than once, I’ve been labled a “crazy cat lady”. Ha! Well, I’ll own that lable, I guess, as I do dote on our farm cats. And I love having them in our family. As cat lovers, it’s fairly easy to get us gifts for the holidays, just cater to the “crazy cat lady” in us all!

Cat owners love to receive a Christmas gift relating to their favorite pets. Or something for the cat itself is always acceptable. There are many possible Christmas presents for cat lovers, use these ideas to inspire your holiday shopping this year:

Products for the Cat

Most cat owners enjoy receiving something for their cat or cats. However, it should not be anything too practical; for instance, most cat owners would not want to receive pet flea or worm treatments as a Christmas present!

The same applies to cat food. Many cats are finicky eaters. But cat toys, fancy cat collars, or luxury cat beds would probably all be appreciated. As would good quality cat bowls and dishes.

Holiday Gifts for Cat Lovers

One of our favorite new product finds for cat (and dog) lovers is Mobowl®. Whether you are looking for a portable water tray for indoor/outdoor use, days when you are walking your pet, or trips to the vetrinarian’s office, Mobowl is perfect for at home and on-the-go!

Mobowl is a made in the USA. It’s a flexible, foldable, light weight, dishwasher safe, and non-slip water/food pet travel bowl with carrying pouch. The bowl with carrying pouch can attach to a collar, harness or leash. Dogs and cats can literally carry their own bowl!

It is important to be prepared by having products essential for your cat’s well being. Having a lightweight and foldable bowl readily available makes hydrating or feeding dogs or cats easier and less cumbersome. Mobowl is a small, fun, inexpensive accessory that pet owners shouldn’t be without. A great gift for friends with pets and it’s small size makes it awesome as a stocking stuffer, too.

Cat Care Books

There is a huge variety of books on or about cats. Fairly new cat owners will particularly welcome books on cat care. If your gift recipients has one breed of cat, it is good to try to find a book relating specifically to that breed.

Cat Christmas Cards and Calendars

Since cats are such popular pets, there are many Christmas cards showing cats, and also a variety of cat calendars. All of these would be welcomed by the keen ‘cat person’. Workman Publishing has a great 365 Days of Cat Trivia calendar. (You’ll find it in our Gifts of Comfort and Joy holiday guide).

Cat Jewellery

Cat necklaces, bracelets, and earrings are all very popular. They come in all styles and price ranges. There are specialist companies making only cat related trinkets, but some lovely cat jewellery can be found in many shops or on-line.

Cat Ornaments

There are a great many cat-related products on the market. It is possible to buy cat ornaments and figurines of all types. However, while most cat owners do like these, many of them end up with far too many. Make it a personalized ornament buy putting their cat on it! You can do this at many retailers in minutes, making it a great last minute gift that doesn’t look last minute.

Useful Cat Items

There are many useful products in the shape of a cat, or with a cat on them. Cat clocks and watches are easy to find, as are cat clothing and nightdress cases. There are many cat items for the house, from cat crockery, teapots, and biscuit tins, to cat toilet roll and toilet brush holders.

Where to Find Cat-Related Christmas Gifts

Everywhere! There are many pet stores and websites specializing in cat products. Ebay is also a good place to find unusual cat gifts. We’ve even found cat wine glasses at the local liquor store.

Overall, it’s tough to go wrong buying cat-friendly gifts for a person who loves them. At Christmas or any other time!
