Sweet Laundry Dreams are Made of This: Samsung ActiveWash #PreTreatYourself

As a homemaker  and work-at-home mom whose life revolves around day-to-day chores, I have to say  new appliances simply add a mega dose of sunshine to your routine, especially if your old appliance has seen brighter days!  When I was approached by hhgregg to review the Samsung 5.2 Cu. Ft. Platinum Silver High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer with ActiveWash™ technology and the Samsung 7.4 Cu. Ft. Platinum Silver Steam Electric Dryer, my energy-efficient heart pitter-pattered with a happy dance of pure joy! Though I received these units for review purposes, all thoughts, opinions are pure laundry joy are solely my own.

The Samsung ActiveWash has completely game-changed how we do laundry.  There’s no more scrambling to find a spot to pre-treat stains, no more pulling out the washtub or commandeering the bathroom sink to soak dedicates   Samsung has now made our laundry routines super convenient with a patented built-in sink located under the top-loading washer’s lid.  This ActiveWash feature makes it easy to pre-soak or pre-treat everything from tough stains to your most delicate clothing items all in one space.  When you are finished, you can simply empty the clothing directly in to the washing machine.  No mess, no fuss, just pure convenience bundled in one very cool option!  Check out the highlights in this video demonstration below to see it in action:

My video isn’t quite as well crafted as the professional one, but I wanted to illustrate that Samsung ActiveWash looks as cool and preforms as well as the company says it does.  This is the real life view and it truly is a sweet-dreamy feature!

Besides the innovative ActiveWash sink, the new Samsung high-efficiency washer includes an abundance of other features to help make our laundry lives easier:

Large load capacity:  The 5.2 cu. ft. capacity drum holds 2 to 3 times the capacity of our old washing machine.  I can even fit blankets and pillows in their easily.  No more running out to the laundry mat or scrubbing bedding in the mud room sink!  My laundry is done in half the time as I can double loads now, too.

Lightening fast wash cycles:  The “Super speed” cycle lets you wash a full load in just 36 minutes!

Oodles of versatility:  All-in-all there are 15 preset wash cycles from heavy duty to brilliant whites, 11 options including Deep Clean and Extra Rinse, 6 temperature settings from extra-hot to tap cold, 5 spin speeds and 5 soil settings.

Eco-friendly features:  In addition to being Energy Star certified, the Samsung high-efficiency washer has additional features such as “Eco Plus” which increases energy savings on wash cycles and Quick Wash which takes care of lightly soiled garments lickety-split!

Smartphone compatible:  The Smart Care program interacts directly with your washer and dryer to help you troubleshoot issues straight from your smartphone.  It can preform an immediate diagnosis and offer quick solutions for you to get back to your laundry chores asap, rather than having to call for customer service.

Does the job well: This washer could have all the bells and whistle in the world, but if it didn’t get the clothes clean and ready for wear, it wouldn’t matter.  The good news on this end, our clothes are coming out of the wash nice, fresh, bright and well-cleaned!  I’m truly impressed with the “Brilliant Whites” setting which really has kept our whites looking their best, without the use of bleach!

There’s so much to love about the Samsung 5.2 Cu. Ft. Platinum Silver High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer with ActiveWash™ I could go on and on!  The bottom line truth is, having this amazing washer in our home has revolutionized the way I think about laundry, is like having a laundry-savvy helper on hand and makes this daily chore a fun and rewarding one.

The Samsung 7.4 Cu. Ft. Platinum Silver Steam Electric Dryer is an equal delight to own and use.  This dryer has Multi-Steam™ technology which helps you steam away wrinkles, remove odors, and keep clothing looking great.  Like the washer, it’s chock full of other great features that make my laundry experience refreshing:

Large capacity: The 7.4 cu. ft. capacity drum is ginormous compared to our old unit.  This easily allows me to dry large loads of clothing and blankets, too (something I was never able to do before.  I’ve always had to time my linen washing around the weather so I could air them outside on the line.  Now I have the option to dry them inside on my schedule!)

Less ironing!  Worth mentioning again is the Multi-Steam™ technology which steams away wrinkles, giving you a quick way to refresh clothing when needed and also a built-in dry cleaner in your home.  I’m truly loving this technology!

Perfectly dries clothing:  The built in Sensor Dry program automatically adjusts drying time by sensing moisture so your clothes don’t over or under dry.  You can also set your preference if you prefer damp dry or wish to have something come out very dry, giving you an amazing range of options.

A setting for every garment:  There’s are 15 cycles for everything from heavy duty to permanent press, wool and even active wear.  Combined with additional options, adjustable temperature setting and 5 dry levels, it means you can fully customize the dryer to cater to the particular needs of the fabric you are drying!

Ability to shape sweaters and more: One of the coolest features is the removable Drying Rack.  This rack allows you to lie sweaters flat to shape and dry or easily dry stuffed toys (cotton or polyester fiber-filled,) foam rubber pillows and even sneakers!  No more gym shoes pounding the dryer drum, they simply sit flat on the rack and dry – love it!

Eco-friendly features:  In addition to being Energy Star certified, the Samsung steam electric dryer has additional features such as “Eco Normal” and “Eco Plus” which increases energy savings on dryer loads.

Gets the job done!  As with the washer, it doesn’t matter how much technology or design detail is present, the key component is how well it works and the Samsung 7.4 Cu. Ft. Platinum Silver Steam Electric Dryer is a true powerhouse with performance!  We’re getting fresh, fluffy, clean clothing that’s custom dried to our needs and likes. Plus my drying time is cut in half, which leaves me free to attend to other daily responsibilities and maybe even sneak in a little extra R&R here and there!

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with these two appliances.  It’s revolutionized the way I do laundry and brought a whole new level of freshness and clean to our home! I honestly cannot find anything not to like about this extraordinary washer and dryer duo.  They are so well designed and full of helpful programs that simply serve to enhance our laundry experience!
