Thanks to Invisalign® for inspiring this discussion on confidence and self improvement.
This is a sponsored post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

My mother always said that a great smile was the best accessory a woman could own.  While I dismissed this notion in my youth, I’ve come to appreciate that, indeed, smiles can brighten up the most drab outfit or dreariest day!

A well-fitted outfit, a comfortably cute pair of shoes, a fresh coat of trendy nail polish and a lovely piece of jewelry all help boost my self-confidence, but I rely more on my smile to tell the world who I am and how I want to take on each moment with a positive attitude.  I try to put on my best smile often, not just for photographs, but every morning when I wake up to greet the day.  We certainly can’t always smile in every situation, nor should we, but when we do it says so much about the person bearing it.

A genuine smile instantly conveys cheer, exudes warmth and friendship and says “hello world, I’m a happy, confident soul!”

Sadly, not everyone has the confidence to smile.  There are plenty of wonderful, vibrant people who keep those smiles tucked away because their self-confidence about their appearance holds them back.

Does your self-confidence hold you back from starting the day with a great smile or overcoming obstacles you would like to?  In honor of Self Improvement month, why not do something that makes you feel more confident today?

After 2 years of braces when I was a kid, I now (I’m in my 40s now) have one misbehaving tooth right in the front of my mouth that doesn’t want to comply. I really want to check out Invisalign to fix it.

My parents really didn’t focus on dental care so I had to learn it as an adult and I don’t really have a teethy smile that I use as a result of my lack of dental visits. I did however instill it in my kids and worked a second job so my daughter could have beautiful teeth to help her self esteem and mis-aligned teeth. There fore I leave through her smile and my son also has nice teeth as well.
