Farm Forward Experience at the Red Roost Tavern #Ohio #Travel

Red Roost Tavern

If you are fortunate enough to living in the Cincinnati area within easy driving distance to the Red Roost Tavern… I seriously envy you!  Fresh regional flavors are the show stoppers here and a terrific crew of folks are enthusiastic about ensuring you savor each bite.

Housed in the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, Red Roost Tavern is part of an ambitious renovation, elevating farm-to-table dining to a lofty and delicious heights.  Locally sourced ingredients delight the pallet in both traditional and surprising ways.

During a recent press trip in Ohio, I was invited to experience the Red Roost Tavern lunch menu, a satisfying mix of flatbreads, sandwiches, salads, soups and specialty plates such as crabcakes and peppered pappardelle.  Great range for all taste levels with pricing that won’t sticker-shock. (Avg. $12-$14)

A children’s menu is available for the younger farm forward experience, including fun fare like Shaken Chopped Salad, Crunchy Chicken Pops and Haile’s Recipe Salmon Teriyaki.  Half portions of many of the adult menu items are also available to children (at a reduced cost.)

The atmosphere is rather laid-back, casual dining vibe, suitable simultaneously for both business and family dining.  Rustic tableware, open seating areas and great views of the city (on the bar side) add to the welcoming nature of the restaurant.  In other words, it’s upscale with a pretentious nature.

A private dining room, which accommodates up to 14 people, is available events and the bar area comes alive at night with Happy Hour pricing, signature drinks like Gin Basil Lemonade and Watermelon Margaritas.  A decent selection of wine and beer (bottled and draft,) and after dinner drinks are also on hand.

In a nutshell, Red Roost Tavern offers an authentic farm-to-table experience with a huge dash of creativity and a big bang of taste to appreciate!

This looks like a place that my family would love, especially my son. The Children’s menu with Crunchy Chicken Pops is something that he would really like.

Oh my goodness! I don’t think we would be able to drag my husband out of there if he saw that sandwich!

Wow, those hamburgers are colossal. I love going to restaurants where they really give you a lot of food for your money. I’m sure everything was just delicious.
