What Would You Give For the Key to a Good Night’s Sleep?

My youngest son suddenly started asking to watch television in my bedroom.  Typically, I will let my sons watch a few shows in their playroom if we are busy with other projects in our family room or if their father happens to be watching a program that isn’t of interest or possibly too adult for them.

As all of their Legos, books, card games and other items of interest are in the playroom, I wasn’t completely sure what the attraction was  until I checked on him and saw this:

Technogel Sleeping Pillow

Turns out, he discovered my new Technogel Sleeping Pillow.

And he’s not the first one to try to wrangle that gem away from me, my husband keeps sneaking it over on his side of the bed each night, too.  They’ve quickly found out that’s one pillow I’m simply not willing to trade!

Initially, when first introduced to Technogel pillows (endorsed by Dr. Scholls,) I was a bit skeptical.  Not because it didn’t appear to be a quality product, if anything it looks like the Lamborghini of pillow technology.  I was skeptical because I’ve already shelled out a lot of cash and spent a lot of time trying to find a pillow that supports my desire to get a good night’s sleep.

Technogel arrives and I love the luxe design.

Like many, I have plenty of factors interfering with my quality of rest- foremost among these are neck problems and carpel tunnel.  All sadly the side-effect of my profession as a writer and avid interest as a gardener.  I’ve tried everything from down to firm to foam pillows with little success.  Still had a hard time getting comfortable and often woke up with more neck and shoulder aches than I went to bed with.

So what could Technogel possibly do for me.  Well, for starters, the pillow offers the ergonomic support to help support my neck and spine properly while sleeping.  But the good-body-benefits don’t stop with the shape.

The cover has a convenient zipper to remove for cleaning.

Technogel has what is called “3D Deformation.”  What that means is the gel moves in three directions allowing Technogel to mold to your unique physical structure for more of a custom fit.  Also when the pressure is distributed evenly with the 3D Deformation, it offers the added benefit of improving blood circulation. What it really means to me, is that my pillow conforms to me and not the other way around – this in itself is quite a revolution from other pillows I’ve tried.

In addition to innovative support, Technogel pillows also offers thermal regulation and superior ventilation.  The cool temperature of the pillow initially surprised me and took a night or two to adjust to, but after I did, I think I’ll have a tough time going back to a pillow that doesn’t include this feature.

The slight cooling effect actually helps me to get to sleep quicker and is a fabulous help in alleviating headaches, likely due to the circulation enhancing effects.  Several times I’ve rested on the Technogel pillow when I felt a migraine coming on and a little while later felt refreshed and headache free.  This may just be an effect that the pillow has on me, the manufacturer makes no claims for this, but whatever it is – I’m certainly not complaining!

This is how the Technogel pillow looks uncovered.

Though I haven’t experienced one since owning the Technogel pillow yet, I imagine the cool temperature and ventilation aspects will be very nice to have when a hot flash hits, too.

For a great night’s sleep Technogel has been a perfect companion.  As a luxury pillow, depending upon the style you choose, it’s a bit higher priced than a standard pillow (Sleep City currently lists the classic version at $169,) but worth every penny, in my opinion.  I mean, really, what would you give for a good night’s sleep?

I would love to try this pillow. I had surgery several years ago where I had to sleep on two pillows for a couple of months so that I was propped up high, but then I somehow stuck with that position for several years after. I bet that I would be more comfortable if I tried something new like this pillow.

I have a pillow similar to this and I love it. It has really helped my neck pain.

Wow, this pillow looks amazing. I have the same problem that my children practically take over my room on a regular basis. I guess we should enjoy it now while they still want to spend time with us.
