Are You Carrying Your Purple Purse?

“Why Purple?” you ask.  Read on…

PurplePurse.com is is an important Allstate Foundation project – in partnership with YWCA – focused on getting people to talk about the issue of domestic violence. Even though it’s an issue that affects one in four women, it’s hard to believe that 1/3 of Americans have never discussed it.

PurplePurse.com is designed as an online shopping magazine, but its real purpose is to encourage people to talk openly about domestic violence and financial abuse. Since research shows that the issue of domestic violence is difficult to discuss, this site was created to make it easier to bring up the subject.

On PurplePurse.com, you will find tips, tools, and resources to help put an end to domestic violence and you’ll find a fun gallery of pictures showing the “purple purse” trend.  Carry your own purple purse, add your photo and support this terrific cause!
