As you likely already know, (considering I wrote a book on it,) I’m a huge advocate of organic gardening. The world is an ecosystem, particularly in the plant world. Caring for and replenishing our earth is the path ensuring your little patch of nature is happy, healthy and vibrant year ‘round!

The second reason is their promise of results which stem from replenishing the earth with vital nutrients and gifting plants all the healthy nourishment they need.
Close your eyes and imagine your dream garden. Are you picturing lush vegetable plants bursting with produce? Picturesque flowers with vivid blooms? Green grass that’s full, silky and a joy to romp about?

When we open our eyes, though, reality doesn’t always match what we picture. Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener. The vegetables do poorly and the flowers barely produce a bloom before they fade away.
Most often, our grass isn’t green and our veggies and plants are wilting because they are not receiving all the life-giving nutrients they need. Poor soil conditions are a common culprit. BioFlora products address the problems at their source – the soil – to rebuild and restore your plant’s home to an ideal environment.
For the past 5 weeks, I’ve been able to put BioFlora Seaweed Creme, BioFlora Dry Crumbles, and BioFlora Soil Source to the test on our landscape and my container garden to learn what effect they would have. I used no other organic gardening methods during this time so I would have pure test results.
Made from hand harvested, sun-dried and homogenized Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed, this growth stimulant increases yield, drought resistance, frost protection and stress recovery. BioFlora Seaweed Creme is ideal for vegetable and fruit plants as it help increase produce size and enhance taste.
My journey began with BioFlora Seaweed Creme as it arrived the very same day that I started container gardening. This year I chose a variety of organic herbs, peppers, tomatoes and a lovely array of flowers to fill our upper deck with.
After settling in my new plant friends, they received a healthy dose of BioFlora Seaweed Creme in their second watering. The cream is easily mixed into the water in your watering can and then applied every 2-3 weeks for optimum results.
It didn’t take long to see the amazing effects of BioFlora Seaweed Creme on all of my container plants. Several of the plants, like this beautiful Dahlia (below) were rescue plants from the deep discount shelf at our local plant nursery.
For those unfamiliar, this means the plants were in need of lots of TLC and were discounted in a last-ditch effort to find them a loving home before they were discarded. I like to grab a few each year and attempt to resuscitate them so they can live a full and rich plant life.
Sometimes it’s a success, sometimes they are too far gone. With the help of BioFlora Seaweed Creme they are all now thriving, lush florals with big beautiful blooms!
My herbs and vegetables are also growing into healthy, highly productive mature plants. I was thoroughly amazed by the huge leaves on my Basil plant. Basil is something I’ve been container gardening for at least 10 years and I’ve never had a plant so lush with leaves so big! Crazy-good results!
BioFlora Dry Crumbles are granular plant nutrients that provide sustainable nutrients for all types of plants and lawns by delivering a balanced blend of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and minerals.
I first applied BioFlora Dry Crumbles to the base of our new apple trees in hopes of giving them a great start. When applying to fruit trees, you measure the trunk base and then spread crumbles evenly around the base of the tree.
As re-application is every two months and apple trees have a slower growth rate, I don’t have a clear picture of the effects yet, but our apple tree is thriving, so that’s a good sign our soil is in tip-top shape!
Where I did see a dramatic difference was on our lawn bare spots. We had several spots of damage from various weather-related incidents and one large area where we had to dig up about a 4-foot round patch of ground due to a busted water pipe.
I used a combination of treatment that included a one-time application of BioFlora Dry Crumbles and an application of BioFlora Soil Source every two weeks. The results were amazing (as you can visually see below!)
One thing to note when viewing our results is that we have a bee-friendly lawn. This means I don’t nix what others may consider to be weeds like dandelions. We also don’t mow as frequently so that the grass stays longer. Regardless, the results are super impressive! All of the other spots on my lawn that were bare are still bare, but the large spot I treated, as you can see, has rapidly filled in with a lovely bit of grass and greenery!
Now I’ll be applying it to all the bare patches on our lawn to heal them and I’m truly looking forward to having a thick, healthy lawn for all our bee friends, and our family and pets enjoy!
BioFlora Dry Crumbles are also perfect for container gardens, you mix directly with soil before planting. I didn’t use in my container gardens as I wanted to see how the pure effects from the BioFlora Seaweed Creme. Moving forward, after seeing the results of how well it helped restore new grass growth to our lawn, I’ll definitely be using the crumbles with all my container gardening, too, to help boost my already excellent results even more!
BioFlora Soil Source is a soil additive that utilizes humates containing living microbes to rebuild and restore soil which increases seed germination, stimulates growth, amplifies root system development, and increases plant yields.
As mentioned earlier, I used this product in combination with the BioFlora Dry Crumbles to treat the lawn with fantastic results. I also decided to run an independent test with some Tricolor Sedum I had transplanted into hanging planters for the summer. They usually do well in containers but don’t always get as full as I’d like them to be in more confined spaces.
After one application of the BioFlora Soil Source, I noticed the difference within days as you can plainly see in the picture above. Not only is the plant thriving, it’s fuller and developing new growth.
Conclusion
Now that I’ve had over a month to test out and experience the results of using BioFlora products, I’m completely sold on their wonderful merits!
BioFlora Seaweed Creme, BioFlora Dry Crumbles, and BioFlora Soil Source all deliver exactly as promised. These are products I’ll continue to use with my landscape, lawn and garden to gift my plants (and in return my family,) with the best care for an excellent yield.
Seeing is believing and I’m thoroughly convinced. I don’t have to close my eyes to imagine my dream garden, thanks to BioFlora, it’s already growing and thriving at my home, right before my eyes!
