As you can imagine, in a house full of boys, Max Traxxx remote control race cars and sets are a favorite. In case you’re not familiar, Max Traxxx is a collection of Glow-in-the-Dark, 1/64 scale car race toys. Each Tracer Racer is designed to react with a specially designed glow in the dark track. There are several different sets, and each is more exciting than the last. The different sets and customization options make Max Traxxx a fun and interactive toy for kids of all ages and abilities.
The Skullduggery Max Traxxx Tracer Racers Twin Loop Set features over 36 feet of glow in the dark track! As if a twin loop track wasn’t awesome enough, the Skullduggery patented Glow-in-the-Dark track is designed to glow long after the 2 included Tracer Racer cars have passed. The technical name is “Light Trail Technology”, but around here, it’s just plain awesome. Even our cat loves this race track set! With good reason, too. What’s not to love about remote control racing around 4 dual glow-in-the-dark corners and over a dual loop? Playing in the dark has never been such fun!
One of the things my boys like the best about the set is that you can compete head to head. As they get older, they don’t really play with toys together anymore, so watching them compete with this set is a treat. The bond that they share looks a little different these days, but it’s still something I love to see. They’re close to tied for the “season”, so it’s fun to see who’s ahead in the stats for the week.
Another thing that I think makes the Max Traxxx sets unique is that they’re very customizable with variable speed cars and adjustable track heights for beginners. This set includes 16 X-Blox construction brix, which allow for several different options. A beginner might want to set it up so that the cars are a little bit easier to control.
When my granddaughter and I play together, we modify the course a bit so she can get a little more practice using the remote controls. What the boys don’t know is that we’ve been practicing when they’re not home…the girls are going to seemingly show up out of nowhere and take home the cup on this one!
