What tips and tricks do you use to enhance your bath time routine?

With two teenage sons in our home, I have learned the importance of encouraging a bath time and bed time routine. Without it, our home gets very chaotic at bedtime and it’s no fun at all if you have to constantly remind your teens to take showers or brush their teeth before bedtime. Which leads me to my first and most important bit of advice:
Establish a Daily Bath Time Routine
I started setting a routine from the time my children were babies of an evening bath, teeth care and basic hygiene prior to bed time. This routine also helped with winding down at the end of the day, signifying to the kids that playtime was officially over and it was now time for bed. As they grew, I added in a fun chart with stickers to help empower them to do the routine on their own.
When they entered their teen years, we added things like shaving (when needed) and daily acne care. Each time my sons have encountered a new phase of their bath time routine, my husband or I have made sure they can handle the skill (like shaving) on their own and prompted reminders when needed until it became habit for them.
Make Sure Supplies are Readily Available
In a nutshell, if my son’s acne medicine isn’t within his line of sight, it’s prone to be overlooked and skipped. Teens have a zillion plus one trivial things buzzing through their brains at any given moment and they are easily distracted.
I keep things super simple by having all the things they need in a designated area of the shower or sink for them, so they don’t have to hunt them down or forget to use them. You can simply group them on the counter or if you have multiple children sharing the same bathroom, label and fill baskets with each child’s toiletries for bath time.
Create a Comfortable Environment
Don’t you just love a great spa day with push towels, cushy rugs, slippers and robes? Me, too, and our children also appreciate those types comforts. Even if they don’t want slippers or a luxurious robe, my sons truly love to have soft, plush towels.

Establishing a routine is so important. One thing I struggle with is getting my daughters to hang up their towels and wash clothes to allow them to dry. I’d love to add these pretty towels to my collection, so thanks for hosting this giveaway.
That is such a good point. Very tough to get the boys to hang up towels, too! One thing that helped a little was adding a tall laundry basket to the bathroom so they could drape them over the side, but I still find some on the floor here and there. Teens! Oy!
These towels seem amazing! I know my family would love them. I’ve never heard of microcotton before. Is it 100% real cotton?
I have my girls take baths at the same time every evening. To enhance our bath time routine I also put everything in designated areas so they can be found quickly and I make clean up time into a game instead of a chore.
Mine are older now but my own bath routine is all about destressifying and pampering. I take long baths, especially after a day of working in my garden and flowerbeds.
I use nice towels and use goat milk soap to pamper myself!
Sometimes I take a bath in the middle of the day while my daughter is at school and my husband is at work just so I can totally relax lol. I love to either read or put on some music while I soak, depending on my mood. With my daughter, we always do a bath at least an hour before bedtime. We’ve realized that baths tend to give her a second wind rather than calm her down. ?
We hang them to dry and every Saturday change them for clean towels. The ones we have now are starting to fray on the edges though.
