I’m still pretty basic – lots of jam (I make a fantastic raspberry vanilla which uses real vanilla beans). but I want to advance and try canning my own chicken broth. Scary, I know!

I can everything I can because Alaska has a short but powerful growing season. I love LOVE these jars! I would want to do my vodka sauce with my fresh tomatoes, I will pickle anything and everything, I will also jar beans, carrot slices, and make kimchi too… tons of yummilicious things!

I usually can green tomato relish or ketchup. Apple butter. Rhubarb-strawberry jam if I get enough rhubarb from my two plants. But a couple of these jars would sit empty on a sunny shelf, with a couple of old blue ones. And I think I’d use the others for buttons, tea bags, die cuts. So pretty.
