I applaud the choice McDonalds has made to include apples in every Happy Meal. My kids love apples, but would generally opt for the French fries. Most often they would want both - and though they were available for additional purchase, we all know when you are budget-conscious, extras aren't always an viable option.
Now they get both all the time, meal time is a bit more balanced, and that makes me a happier mom.
